Problem and Solution

The purpose of this course was to educate people about loneliness and social isolation with a view to encouraging them to reach out to people experiencing this. The training team had already created a face-to-face course which was aimed at volunteers with a specific role of reaching out to lonely people. This formed the basis for some of the content, but as that course had a different target audience, we needed to create content that was specific to this audience. 

I collaborated with the stakeholders to guide them through the process of setting out clear learning objectives. We then reviewed and refined the original content so that it was specific to this purpose. I also persuaded then that it would be a good idea to create animations. I used Vyond studio to create four animations about specific topics. I used Adobe Audition to edit and enhance the sound quality of the voiceovers prior to importing the recordings into Vyond and syncing it with the animation. I also suggested having background music and used JavaScript to start the music playing at the start of the course with the option to switch it off if not required.
