Problem and Solution

The outreach team had produced a policy for aimed at dealing with urgent applications during the Covid crises. With the requirement to stay at home it meant that visits could not be done face-to face as was customary so it was important that the Outreach workers understood that they were still able to work particularly with the rise in crises cases. The issue was that the policy document was quite lengthy and not easy to digest. To address this fact, I suggested putting the information into a more digestible format. The solution I came up with was to outline the crucial points in a Rise module which allows them to absorb the content in an engaging and interactive way. It also includes frequent use of assessment to allow the learners to check their own understanding and to allow for greater retention of learning. I also created animated gifs using Adobe Animate to add additional interest as for example the animated corona virus image visible on the start screen.
